I always knew 680 gen cards were supported due the old iMacs I believe? Or was it the Mac Pro’s? But never really paid attention because they are a few gems old.

using NVIDIA 455.26.01 and CUDA 10.1 (can update CUDA. The Titan V is now the best value card for AI compute - especially considering that a large part of the TCO is power. The FP16 performance of these cards was really good considering they cost 9000 less than the the V100. I too keep getting caught up in the latest and greatest when there haven’t been massive improvements in GPUs across the board for years and as you’ve found out, high end older gen cards can still pack a punch. Hi, just tested your awesome library with a Titan V (Volta) which has only 2x slower FP64 vs FP32. However, Titan V was really released to counter the AMD's Vega FE/Instinct M125. I think you’ve hit on the issue at the end there. Intel did the same thing The Titan Xp has the same FP64 as the 1080 Ti of 1/64 NVIDIA Titan RTX vs NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 (Laptop) - Benchmarks, Tests and Comparisons I have a need for real-time simulation, double precision computation, ability to save large data structures in GPU memory (upwards of 10GB), and need to scale up to multi-GPU. It's because of age of the cards? They are not hyped, so nobody sees them as a possibility.

It delivers the power of Tensor Cores to HPC applications, accelerating matrix math in full FP64 precision. We refer to this new capability as Double-Precision Tensor Cores. There are lot of Kepler cards which perform quite well, too, so this shouldn't be the reason. As a result, the A100 crunches FP64 math faster than other chips with less work, saving not only time and power but precious memory and I/O bandwidth as well. The Nvidia Titan V averaged 62.6 higher than the peak scores attained by the group. It was by accident that I read GTX680 was supported in Mojave and started digging for the reasons. I have been on this site for quite a long time and didn't know. It's common sense that Mojave automatically requires AMD. Machine learning performance (125 FP16 TFLOPS) is extremely impressive, but the 6,9 FP64 (double-precision) TFLOPS are also a huge deal. This is not a card voor gaming, but for compute.
I still can't understand, why this is on nobody's screen. The new Titan V has both the highest FP64-performance as the best FP64/price ratio on a Nvidia GPU ever Discussion This is huge.
